Introduction

This one-day course is designed for electrical workers requiring re-certification in the Workplace Electrical Safety standards, CSA Z462 and NFPA 70E.

The successful participant will gain a solid understanding of the hazards encountered while operating or working around electrical equipment including a full understanding of the arc hazard standard, appropriate PPE selection and safe work procedures. They will also be able to identify defective electrical equipment and signs of impending electrical failures.

It has been over a decade since organizations have been required to implement the arc flash and electrical safety standards of CSA Z462 and NFPA 70E. Both electrical safety standards require refresher training once every three years due to the extreme danger and hazards involved with electrical work. In this time, most electrical workers have had multiple sessions of training, usually classroom with no hands-on.
